Terms of Service

Please note: Koru's care and Well Child content is provided to help you stay organised. It is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions about you or your child.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Koru ("the App"), operated by Jacob & Co (제이콥엔코) ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The App is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind.

2. Your Content

Your content — journal entries, photos, appointments, and family details — remains yours. You are responsible for what you upload, and you agree not to upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store and display your content back to you and your family within the App.

3. Accounts & Guest Use

You may sign in with Apple or Google, or continue as a guest. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which removes your account and associated data.

4. Advertising

Koru is free and ad-supported. The App displays a single banner advertisement via Google AdMob. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

5. Not Medical Advice

The Well Child, care, and reminder features in Koru are for personal organisation only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or reliance on any information (such as care schedules or reminders) provided in the App. The App is provided without warranty of any kind.

7. Changes to the Service & Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any concerns informally.
